Imaging technology has evolved based on faithfully reproducing images we perceive in nature, as in the evolution from monochrome to color. At the same time, machine vision beyond human perception has also made significant progress, and the development and practical application of high-speed vision and hyperspectral imaging, including non-visible light regions, are flourishing. In particular, some objects exhibit more peculiar behavior in the near-infrared (NIR) and short-wave infrared (SWIR) regions. Technologies for recognizing and visualizing information the naked eye cannot capture are expected to find a wide range of applications. Against this background, we intend to use our technologies effectively and develop new ones.
We are a team of highly experienced engineers. Our technology covers various aspects mainly related to image acquisition. Specifically, it starts with optical systems (lenses, optical filters), which are the entry point for capturing images, continues with image sensors (manufacturing process technology, sensor design), which acquire image information, and finally extends to the construction of electrical and electronic systems (camera module design) to extract images from image sensors and the development of image processing software for high image quality, etc.
We are confident that we can contribute to accelerating research and development by taking advantage of a venture company from a university and pioneering new product fields through collaboration between universities, companies, and different industries.
